It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our founder, Edward L McGrath, who died August 8, at the age of 98.  He was the first to enter the business of buying and selling high vacuum equipment when the US entered the space race after the launch of the Russian Sputnik.

Ed retired in 1984 when the business was sold to the current president, Mark Goodrich. Ed will be very much missed.
